Burlington market update: between Hamilton and Halton
Doorvia Research · July 19, 2026

Burlington benefits from Halton schools, lakefront access and easy reach to both Hamilton and the western GTA.
Burlington's appeal is its position: Halton Region services and schools, a walkable lakefront downtown, and quick access to both Hamilton's employment base and the western GTA. That keeps demand broad rather than dependent on any one buyer group.
Downtown Burlington and Aldershot have absorbed most of the city's new condo supply, while Millcroft, the Orchard and Alton Village carry the family detached and townhome market.
Two factors deserve attention: GO station proximity, especially Aldershot and Burlington stations, and whether an older home near the lake has been meaningfully updated. Burlington's 1950s and 1960s stock varies widely in condition.
